Dear C2 students and parents,

恭喜發財!  新年快樂!  Happy Chinese New Year to all of you!! 

We won't have Chinese class on 2/13 because of president day long weekend.  And when you are back to Chinese school again, we are going to celebrate Chinese New Year together!  We are going to perform three songs 小猴子, 兩隻老虎, 恭喜恭喜, and one reading 新年好together with CK, C1 & class K.  If you have Chinese clothes or dress please wear it to school for the performace.

4. I enjoy watching dragon dance and lion dance during Chinese New Year parade or at any other occasions.  They always gave me a feeling of happiness and prosperity.  Here are some videos for you to enjoy!

Finally I am able to update our class blog again.  Thank you for your patience to wait for the computer assignment!

First, I would like to announce that Emma, Sabrina, and Katelyn from our class are winners of the acdemic contest of Fremont Chinese School.  Let's congratulate them and give them a big applause!  Good job! Emma, Sabrina & Katelyn!

Dear C2 students and parents,

I am sure all of you know how to ask "____中文怎麼說?" by now.  This week I would like to introduce MDBG on-line Chinese English dictionary to you. Using this dictionary you can type in English and find out what the Chinese characters are and also learn how to say it by clicking the audio botton. 

So, this week's recording homework is: 

1. Click at the link below to hear what your classmates asked in the previous recording homework "____中文怎麼說?"   Then, go to the dictionary site and find out how to say them in Chinese.  After you learn how to say them in Chinese, go back to the recording page and record your answer.  Please find at least 3 answers to record for your classmates' questions.  Try not to answer the questions other people already answered.    

Have fun using the on-line dictionary!!!

2. Chinese New Year is approaching, here's a song that we will sing in our Chinese New Year Performance in Febuary.  Please listen to it and we will practice in the class later!

3. The coming Chinese New Year will be Tiger Year!  There are 12 animals representing which year in Chinese Zodiac.  I was born in Monkey Year.  Do you know which year you were born in? Leave me a message if you know your Chinese Zodiac.  If not, tell me your birth year and I will find out for you!

Time flys! Year 2009 is almost finished!  I want to thank all the parents for your help in the classroom and your support at home to your kids for studying Chinese!  And to all my students, I really enjoyed having you in my class and I definitely loved to listen to your recording homework!
