This past Sunday we completed lesson five. The homework assignment for this week is to work on seven lesson 5 exercises and turn them in by email.

I hope you are having a wonderful SNOW Holiday (Gosh!! so many of them this Winter!!) and have helped parents shovel the snow. Yesterday Dan helped me shovel 26 inches snow from the driveway. It took us three hours. It probably would take me seven hours alone without Dan's help. After finishing ours, he then started to help out our neighbors.
Since you're still having today (Monday) and tomorrow off and sitting at home, I figure you are already bored. Therefore the homework and the first quiz are given in the following -

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving Holidays. I figure I should not give you too much homework because you all deserve a break from your high school studies and college applications.
As you all know, Andrea, Jaimin, and Brian participated in the Tour QingMing presentation contest three weeks ago. Their presentation is in the news and the video clip is posted on YouTube. Below are pointers to those.

Dear HS4 Students,
I hope you all have begun practicing on the mandatory speech competition which will be held this coming weekend.
If you decide to use one of the five contest scripts or use your own scripts with the slides from the five slide shows, you will need let me know in advance which contest scripts and/or which slides you plan to use so that I can place them in the computer for you.

Last Sunday we had a quiz covering only lesson one. For those who missed class, the quiz is attached to this email. You can still turn it in this coming Sunday.

1. Since we have completed lesson two last Sunday, I expect you all to practice vocabulary, sentence patterns, and text a few times by listening to the online recording and READ THEM OUT LOUD. Dear HS4 Class Students,
Last Sunday we had a one-hour language lesson and a one-hour culture lesson. In our language lesson we completed lesson one and began lesson two. We will meet at TECRO this coming Sunday (10/04) to learn how to input Chinese characters and study other web learning resources. If you have transportation difficulties that day then please reply to this email as soon as possible and I will try to arrange a ride for you.
